We found a very small snake. It is black on the underside with white thin stripes. It's eyes were half black (bottom) and half white (top), then changed to completely black. The markings on top are a light reddish brown, thin white stripe and darkish reddish brown with markings inside that color. There are also thicker black stripes. Its head is reddish brown. It's tongue is white and changes to a reddish brown color about hafl way up after the fork.
I'm in central alabama and have no clue what it may be. Does anyone have a clue as to what type this may be.

Your snake is not a copperhead (there are pictures of baby copperheads on this site in the photo album with the most pictures).
It is hard to identify from your description. Stripes run, generally, from head to tail while rings (or bands) go from side to side and encircle the snake's body.
Was your snake striped or banded?
