Need help Identifieing turtle

I thought it was time for a new thread, things are getting boring here. I just bought a baby Trionyx turtle(soft shell) and I need help identefieing what species it is. It`s light olive-green with few small black dots. Thank you. Alex S.

Alex, it does sound like a florida soft shell. We caught one last week that weighed 19 lbs in big cypress swamp.

i ain t a turtle expert but dont baby florida softshells have large dark spots separated by light areas ? i ve seen them at this shop and it had large spots on a light brown back ground .

I would have said florida soft shell too,I catch them behind my grandmothers house all the time.

What are the big ways in distinguishing between an Ornate Box Turtle and an Eastern Box Turtle?
