I am trying to plan a trip down to Cancun, Mexico and I was wondering does anyone know any good spots for herping down there. Also what venomous speices are down there?

Although Cancun is the Mayan word for "pot of snakes", from what I've read, they are few and very far between. Meaning, the last bite was back in the 80's from a snake that had escaped from zoo during one of the hurricane's. So I wouldn't be too keen on finding one.
Have fun, though.

Dont forget all Mexican wildlife is protected, so photo's only, dont touch anything, you dont want any trouble down there.
