			Hi...

I´m not deep into African hots, but I have a question for you about puffadder colouration/location...

What´s the colouration and pattern of a puffadder from Kongo ? Can it be almost black with very tight almost goldish thin bands ? Or does that sounds more lika an animal from Northern Kenya or Somalia (Bitis arietans somalica) or nearby ? Pics can be emailed...

 Henke :)

From what I allways was told (But I haven't seen any proof in pictures)

Animals from southern africa are dark/ gold, all other are "normal" coloured.

The somalica subspecies is said to have keeled subcuadals..
