A local "pet" store has recently aquired a male Dumerils Boa that is not micro chipped and posseses no C.I.T.I.E.S. papers acording to the person selling the snake this wasn't a problem, but I plan to breed from him and I asume I would need his "papers" so as to get his chip number for identification of the snake and to breed with him as you require both parent Article 10 numbers, also he was only asking 90 quid (pounds) which is real cheap, does anyone know if it would be at all possible to have the snake re-registerd and would it be a difficult task as they would have to register him with no birth date and no parent article numbers, should Porton pet and aquatics be allowed to sell this snake with no papers please help as I really want this snake, but I will not take a C.I.T.E.S. protected snake without knowing my position if it has no papers and also to stop them selling a threatend snake possibly illegaly, cheers and happy new year to you all.(show me and i'll see, tell me and i'll listen, involve me and i'll understand. Greetings Kieron. I would check with your local laws there in England and see what would apply to your situation. Rule of Thumb: Protect and cover your own ass. I doubt the pet store will take such measures to ensure your good name. They only want to make a profit. Being here from the "States", I don't know how England law applies. Your own research will prove invaluable to you...Peace!

Get a good bill of sale from the pet store and keep it. Under our laws that would protect you should anything ever come up. sorry, I know nothing about the legal system of England.
