My wife and I are doing a little early retirement planning (hopefully in the not so distant future) and it looks like we are narrowing our search to Arizona (where my wife is native to) and Nevada (where my wife probably wants to gamble our retirement away!!). Does anyone have any info on what the venomous herp ownership laws are in these states? I'd love to be able to take some of my rattlers with me upon retirement. Are there permits that can be acquired? I am going to be contacting some of the herp societies and fish and game but just thought I would throw this out to the experts on this forum. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Hey, I can dream can't I?....Yeah, I'm still young by your standards:-) but having been in this gig for nearly 20 years on a professional level, I have to admit I am getting closer than ever to just set up a tent in the desert and herp to my heart's content (I'm 42 so technically, I still have 23 years before retirement as my center is under a city government umbrella which has its good sides and bad). But, I've got a great thing going here so in the meantime, I really can't complain too much; sometimes, its hard to believe I actually get a nice paycheck doing what I'm doing. I'm still trying to convince my wife that Texas is the place to be so that I can take my prized animals with me....any advice on how I can sell that state to her? For some reason, she is just turned off by that idea.
