On the slim chance that i would ever own a venomous snake i just wondered how would you so called train for keeping one. I have heard people say just start to deal with aggressive snakes that are none venomous. I can see why they say this but a angry 4foot plus rat snake is not going to do any serious dammage of a bite and no matter how much you try i dont think that its possible to view it with the seriousness as you would need to a venomous ones. How did all you guys build up your expierience etc before you all got your venomous snakes. And especially how would someone like me who does not live in a country full of snakes let alone venomous snakes ever practice the art of dealing with venomous snakes. Thanks for your time Aaron

Aaron: If there are Zoos, or Wildlife Parks in your area, you might voulenteer as a helper. If there is a Herpetological Society in your area, you should become a member and there you might meet someone willing to help you get started.
Hope this helps. Best Regards JohnZ

Kieron,
just as a word to the wise.
Banning someone just really causes them to change identities and come on as a slightly different nickname.
Continuing to call them names and keeping the incidents alive just adds fuel to the fire and keeps it going.
Let it go, let's move on and try to just help each other and stay on topic.
Karl
Aaron, there are several European keepers on this site with decent reputations who may be able to render you some assistance. You might try to get ahold of Wolfgang Wüster in Wales.
