I collect Old / Antique Snakebite Kits, and have about 50 or 60 different ones so far.
Does anyone else here collect these kits?
I am thinking about writing an article about the history of these kits, and submitting it, or perhaps I will just post the photos of the different ones in the photo album.
I also would be interested in purchasing old kits that I do not have in my collection. Ones from Europe, Africa, and Australia would be especially interesting, as they are rarely available here in the states.
Anyway, if anyone else here collects these, let me know. Perhaps we can get together photos of all the ones in our collections and write about them here.
Best Regards JohnZ

I do not collect them, but I have bought a few neat ones on ebay just to display with my other snake stuff. With as many as you have, you should write a small book with pictures and value guide. Then you could set market price of the value of your collection.

Billy: I have thought about a small, self-published book also.
The biggest problem is researching the history of many of these kits, as most of the people who produced Snakebite Kits are long out of business.

I have one I got from an aunt about 10 years ago she found in some of her stuff. She said she got it from my uncle who lived in the southwest and carried it in the desert. Both are dead now so I dont know the year of it but I say it is 25-30 years old or older it is in a yellow plastic container and has a suction device and a thing to wrap around your limb to cut the blood flow. Let me know if you are interested and if you got anything to trade or whatever I dont collect them or anything but I am looking for good broadband copperheads. You can call 706-599-2176 I am in Georgia

There's a photo album specifically for those. JohnZ should load those up. Try to keep the file sizes <200Kb.
