Last night I dreamed I found a timber rattlesnake. I pinned the snake and then picked the snake up using the two finger hold. The snake got his head around and bit my index finger. Dry bite, but for some reason I saw quite abit of blood coming out.
Lesson learned....use the three finger hold lol
and then there was a dream I was holding about 3 or 4 baby cobras (have no idea) and they bit me.
lesson learned... only hold one combra at a time lol
what weird dreams we have.

Your dreams are probably a warning. I know that most venomous consider the grasping of the head or pinning to be an attempt to kill them and they will fight back. (That means bitting) I have handled hots lifting from underneat the belly with my hand and using a hook to keep the snake from turning back around to bite. Most often the snakes made no attempt to bite at all. Be very carfull and don't try the 3 cobras.

Like eyelashvp9 said, you triggered a defensive response in your dream. What I like to call the four "F"s: Feed, Flight, Fight and...um...reproduction. You're too big to eat and are not a viable mate for the snake, therefore, if you do not trigger a defensive response then you're ok. Though I don't recommend freehandling, you might have a look at my pic with my profile. This should show that if you don't trigger a defensive reaction, then you have a degree of safety. (LIke I said though, I cannot recommend the practice of freehandling, but I use the pic to prove a point.)
Cheers

Wow, Thats something how that snake is letting you handleing it with it not biting you like that. You not even holding the snakes head or nothing. awsome.
But would their be anything that might happen in the future that caused me to have that dream, or is it telling me to handle the snakes a different way. Other way of free handleing it or using tools? Though I can't remember seeing seeing any tools I had when I picked that snake up.....

I have handled timber rattlesnakes the same way, but without a hook. You have to make sure they're calm, I mean really calm and watch the body language. The way I did it is, allow their head to touch the ground and let them slide thru your hands. If you hold them in the air they seem eager to turn on you. With their head on the ground and sliding thru your hands, I guess they feel like they're escaping. Croc Hunter and Corwin have shown this but they are far more daring than I am. So is Roger (Naja Oxiana) for that matter. A friend of mine showed me how to do this about ten years ago. I don't make a regular practice of it, it still makes me nervous. I normally do all handling with the hook and only "tail" them when necessary. There is seldom any reason for you to ever "pin" a snake. Be careful, use caution, and "pin" only when absolutely necessary.

Well, people have ocassionally foretold their deaths in dreams--Lincoln and Ceasar, more notably. Will you die via sankebite? I don't know. Like i said, I don't encourage freehandling. My philosophy is that I'm going to die, and if I die from a snakebite, at least I'll die from something that I love.
Is your dream telling you anything about handling snakes? I dunno. Freud would probably tell you that you need to go out and get laid more often. <chuckle> But dream interpretation isn't really my speciality.
Cheers
Roger
