I remember years ago ( 40 at least) I had a couple of "crown snakes " and some "kneel Green snakes" I remember the "kneel greens coming from a area south of New Orleans, but I do not remember where I got the " crown snakes" . My question is 1) What are other names for these snakes other then'Crown" Kneel Green? I can't find anything on them. 2) Is the "crown snake" found in South Louisiana area? Thank you in advance.

The "crown snake" you may be refering to is in all probablility the Southeastern Crowned snake (Tantilla coronata). They are a small snake that feeds upon worms, salamanders, etc. And, they have a mildly toxic saliva.

I'd have to agree that the Crowned Snake is probably the Southeastern Crowned Snake (Tantilla coronata).
The kneeled green snake would be the Keeled Green Snake now more commonly known as the Rough Green Snake (Opheodrys aestivus). The Rough Green Snake eats crickets, grasshoppers, spiders and caterpillars. They are pretty harmless.
Hope this helps, Karl
