Since you dont seem to belive what other experienced keepers have told you and seem to want a more creditable source(in your mind, I veiw what others share with me as pure gold) maybe this info from
"Dangerous Snakes of Africa" will help convince you of the true dangers of N.melenoleuca.
"When angry it rears up to a considerable height and spreads a narrow hood. It can strike quickly, to quite a long distance, and if molested and unable to retreat will rush foward and make a determined effort to bite(ie in a cage). Some authorities belive it is the most dangerous African snake to keep(this is over D.polylepis which does not get even a fraction of the hipe in DSA), due to its willingness to try to bite, and it has been described as aggresive". (DSA, pg 72, pargraph 4)
Also, "This cobra gives the impression of being more intelliget than other cobras: some captive specimens seem almost cunning in their timing and execution of escape bids, and some keepers have described situations where the snake apperently tried to attack rather than escape." (DSA, pg 73, paragraph 1)
Now you can argue that if you get a neo and grow with it, it will become acoustomed to you and not act as pycho but every, and I do mean every keeper I have talked too, weather they had a CB or WC has said the same exact thing, they do not calm down! They are always testing you, always trying escape.
Please heed the words of those who know what the hell their talking about and stop bashig people for giving you advice which you asked for in the first bloody place, just because you dont want to hear the truth.
Good day,
Jeremy

i wasn't arguing about growing with it.......i simply stated that NONE of these people have dealt with neos and i was curious if they are kept in the snakeroom and it has a lot of traffic, will it calm down? i have seen others who have high-traffic snake rooms and they're snakes are calmer than others, although some aren't.
that's all i was asking jeremy.

OK Ryan.
I have n\had neonates, and no, they don't calm down just because theres traffic in the room. You don't want high-traffic through a venomous snake room.
