How can you tell if a Bitis is pregnant for sure? Are there any decipheriable signs? ie. stays extra meaty, never loses weight, stays coiled up for extended durations? Any help is appreciated.

Without conducting an ultrasound, I find it difficult for anyone to determine gravidity w/ absolute certainty. You never know until she drops whether you will see slugs, viable eggs, or neonates. If you have observed copulations look for mid-body swelling which will move eventually towards the tail. Her appetite will become less frequent, and she may act interested in food items, but decline to eat them. Keepers who communally house various Bitis often report unexpected litters.
