I just read this article on http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7734025/
How is it possible for a snake from the southeastern part of the US, to get all the way to Britain?

Don't know what kind of cereal it was but Post, Kelloggs and General Mills are all sold in England and made here. Just an idea?

The folks who found the snake should check and see if any of their neighbors are reptile keepers, and if any of them have a corn snake gone missing. Corn snakes are available at pet shops in London. I bet it was someones pet that got loose, found its way into the peoples house, and was in their cabnet looking for mice. It probably crawled into the cerial box, which was probably all ready open, and then the kid just happened to find it. JohnZ

Well, what I believe happened was Phillip was eating his cereal while holding his cornsnake. After eating the whole box of corn flakes, he thought his snake would eat the crumbs left in the bag. He has done this before and I am sure he will do it again. Ratsnakes do NOT eat cornflakes. --The Phantom jr.

Sure they do. I have two corn snakes that eat dog food. Of course, the mice ate the dog food first...

England has a reputation for having a high mouse population in some of the older sections of towns. So, many homes are rampant with mice that live in the walls, attics and such. At night they come out into the house. I say, the mice had been in the cereal box, and thus leaving a scent trail, the escaped snake from a neighbors home (as previously suggetsed by other folks) followed the scent trail right into the box. Then, it was just a matter of timing.
C'est possible non?

I personally enjoyed the spoofed joke on the cereal worker. Don't know if anyone else enjoyed the light heartedness in that little skit, but after a long horrible week at work, that's precisely what I needed.
Thanks...AnonEmus

I agree, the story was actually funny this time. A little humor never hurt anyone. Bryan
