I can't get my green anaconda to eat mice at all. Does anyone know how to get this thing to eat? He doesn't mind biting me at all! He won't even strike at the mice. Im going to try putting shiners in its water bowl, but I would rather it eat mice.

yeah, anacondas can be a pain. First are you feeding frozen thawed or live?
Either way, you could wash the rodent (easier with the F/T) and dip it in a can of chicken broth (again easier with the frozen thawed.)
How big is you anaconda? i have had to swap to rats early on with some of mine. they would never touch a mouse scented or not.
The next thing I would try is F/T chicks. I know rodentpro.com has them for $0.25 . alot of times that is cheaper than comparably sized mice or rats.
What time of day are you feeding? I have had some that tend to feed better at night. I just leave the F/T feeder in the cage with them and check again in the morning.
How big is their water bowl? While most have feed great without a large receptical. there were 2 that I had that would only eat if they could stalk their prey from the safety of being fully submerged at the waters edge. and this became difficult when they reached 10 feet long. they were sold to me as captive born and bred, but with the "wild type" habits I believe they were wild caught.
I hope this helps.
