To hunt anything on a Wildlife Management Area, be it with a gun or a camera..or even fishing..you are required to have a WMA permit. I believe these can be purchased any place that sells hunting licenses.

It is interesting that a WMA Permit is required to photograph wildlife in Florida WMA areas.
Do they require a WMA Permit to just look at wildlife also? Or to drive or bike through these public lands?
I can see requiring hunters to purchase a WMA Permit, as they are using the resorce, and the game animals require management.
But to consider Photography as ``Hunting`` seems to be taking it to the extreme.
Guess I need to check and see if GA has passed a similar nutty law!

Hello John,
Enjoying the beautifull pictures in the book Florida's Fabulous Reptiles and Amphibians, i noticed on page 3 that it is illegal without a permit to molest, pursue, harass, capture or posses, any individual, nest and eggs.
Maybe this is some usefull information.
