I don't keep any snakes right now.I have always admired them. Never will keep hots. (starting at 64 not a good idea).
I come to this web site daily. I read to learn. The books I have are from what you keepers suggest. Last year you talked about Campbell/Lamar set. I bought the set. All those Latin names. Cheeeeeeeeez.
Sal and JohnZ can agree and disagree about things. Don't matter. What I know is when I come to this site the "keepers" are going to tell you like it is.
By doing that, you have and will save peoples lives.
So everyone that is keeping "hots" keep telling the truth so everyone can learn and be safe. CP(catspaw)

Cat's Paw: Glad you enjoy the information. I'm not sure if you've seen this site yet, but you might well enjoy it. BTW, you only have me by 4 years. Think young.

CP:
Thanks for the kind works regarding our site. We do have our disagreements but at least everbody has their say and the reader can decide for themselves.
I agree the scientific names in Latin can be difficult but it really is the only way to identify snakes which can have dozens of common & local names. A most important issue when someone has been bitten. I get really confused because I know many of the Genera from years ago before DNA Phylogenic investigation changed the face of the classification system. The old names and groupings die hard.
Cheers!
Al
