I was out looking around and i found a baby pithon. At first i was cautous, but then i looked closer and its mouth was either deformed from birth or it was bitten. So, i picked it up and made a little habitat for it in a old giant fish tank. I fed it crickets. But, after a while, it died. I just want to know if there was anything i could have done, or would it have died anyway of natural causes, not by getting eaten

pithon, in PA!? this wasn't a released pet because it had a deformed mouth, i don't think that there are any wild pythons in PA. you must have been mistaken.

it might have been somebody that ordered pithon babies, but they released it because of a deformed mouth, but despite my mistake, is there anything i could have done to save it

If it was a Python, it could have been someones pet that got loose. A lot of people keep pet snakes in things like aquariums with screen lids, and those are far from excape proof.
Pythons usually do not eat crickets, so I wonder if it could have been some other type of snake? Did you match its picture up with a photo in a book or on the internet?
There is no way without seeing the snake to know if you could have done anything different in trying to keep it.
A snake that has a deformity or has been injured will often not live. But some do. It is good that you tried to help it, but there is really no way anyone can answer your question without seeing the snake in person.
