Does anyone know what the smallest redily available rattle snake is? I'd like to expand my colection but I don't want to get anything that requires too large of an enclosure. Right now i've got mostly small snakes, so anouther small guy or two would fit right in. I live in NC so i know eastern and western DB and carolina are not permitted here. Any suggestions are appriciated.

Steve, Pygmy Rattlesnakes are readily available, if they are legal in your state.

Also, the Rock Rattlesnakes are often available at reptile shows, but will cost several times more than a Pygmy Rattlesnake.

You mention having small cages, well, a 10 gallon size Critter Cage, or a 24 inch Neodesha cage is the smallest cage you should use for them.

 Best Regards
