I'm interested in acquiring information regarding the variable sizes among Crotalus lepidus lepidus and Crotalus lepidus klauberi.

I would like to find out which specific locales tend to be on the smaller scale of either subspecies.

I have read that C. l. lepidus tend to stay smaller, yet I have heard otherwise in contrast. Which statement stays true in your experience?

It depends on locale. I have seen isolated populations of klauberi in which the average size of adult specimens was only 12", both in the US and Mexico. I have also seen populations with an average size of 26". The same can be said for lepidus. Available food sources and habitat play a crucial role in size.
