numbers and decimal points?

I am fairly new to this site and do not understand the use of the numbers with decimal points used in the classified section please can someone enlighten me?

The number to left of decimal point is referring to number of males and number to right of decimal point is number of females. Example- 1.2 means 1 male and 2 females.

If there is a 3rd number to the right it means unknown. 0.0.2 would be 2 unknown sex. Take care, Marty
