More Naja pallida (Red Spitting Cobra)
With any luck my female will be dropping her first fertile clutch sometime this month.

I would hope more snakes are brought into the country. The past couple of years has been slow. Back 7 to 10 years ago many nice snakes were coming in from Malaysia and Indonesia and Africa.

Yea the import situation sucks. It gave domestic breeders a chance to step up but decent CB animals are far and few between. What snakes do you keep again choppergreg ?

I keep some crotalus and hemachutas. I would prefer to see more cbb. animals in general. The unfortunate thing is wild caught animals are the only way to get good strong cbb bloodlines. Years back I kept indigos. Which are of course all cbb today. And the ones that I had wound up getting kinks in their back as they aged. I blame this on decades of inbreeding and line breeding. It was so frustrating and upsetting I threw the towel in. Hemachutas are a very interesting snakes. And a trip to work with.

Relatively speaking your actually not that far. However, I think I got the hang of it, it's more time consuming then anything and I am really busy. Do you keep Atheris ?
