This is a great instructional video, but obviously the techiniques are VERY different for venomous snakes. Even still, there is a lot of usable information for venomous keepers here. But remember, never ever put your hands into a venomous snake cage, especially if you are holding a rat!!!

I know Brian..... I live maybe an hour or so away from him. I know the hot keepers here know what I am about to say but to the rest. Brian would not want yo to use these same methods on hots.

I understand economy of scale and all that...but I really didn't learn anything about feeding snakes. You open the bin, throw the mouse in, then close the bin...on to the next snake? The one guy was adding an extra F/T into the coils of the snakes once it had bitten on to the one he was offering. Interesting technique, but does it work? Anyway, I'm not terribly sure how I feel about mass producing snakes. I'd love to visit the facility to see how they do things (what could be cooler than thousands of snakes?), but obviously you CAN'T give that many snakes the same level of care that a good keeper gives his manageable collection.

I'll bite. Muffdaddy2, What are you talking about??? I don't consider that "talking sh!4". Cro hit the nail on the head. The techniques that are being used for NON-VENOMOUS snakes in that video are not appropriate for use with venomous snakes.
Cro is not degrading Snakebyte TV at all, just pointing out the differences that any venomous keeper should be aware of.
And by the way, I don't mind anyone airing out a difference of opinion, but lay off the profanity. This is a family oriented site.

I agree, snakebytes is a very good show to watch, almost as
good as watching Al's videos. However, Cro is a cool person.
He's helped me out in the past with some very good
information. MUFFDADDY2, we're more than happy to be
your friend, but you just can't go on other sites picking on
other people. There is a lot of good herpetologists on this
site that should not be underestimated.

That first dude in the white T shirt opens the cage, then turns his back on it to get a mouse.
That would be very bad technique if you were working with venomous snakes.
By the time you turned back around, you could easily be bitten, as there is no guarantee that a hungry snake will sit there in its cage waiting for food.
