I don't think I know Dylan, but I'd imagine that he has been to this website. Maybe he even posts here regularly? Dylan has 40+ videos of himself herping on YouTube. Here he is with a Timber rattlesnake. Let's hear some feedback on this video.

Makes me cringe knowing what happened to me in less than 30 minutes in the sanctity of my home I couldn’t imagine taking a bite in the field. I don’t think I would have been able to walk the 2 hours off the den and out of the woods! This young man needs to realize the danger of what he is doing especially if he is deep in the woods pulling these silly stunts.

I think he was kinda reckless there. It looked like he was being careful but watching him move it he acted as if it wasnt gonna do a thing to him. I spotted several spots where he could of been tagged easy....sure I'm like that but I'm not to the point to where I'd want to tail a hot let alone on a cliff face like that. He jsut needs to not be so complacent.

I like his enthusiasm for the subject, but perhaps Dylan should read Peter Jenkin's new article on his Timber bite? What do you think?

why did you even have to move the snake? just to mess with it? walking along the side of a steep cliff isn't the brighest idea. That shows when you stumble with the rattlesnake in your hands.

Very ametuer if you ask me. Here's the main things that stick out, in the brief minute I watched it. His other videos are retarded anyways, which usually consist of him free handling Agkistrodon spp, etc.
1. Why bother a gravid horridus while she's resting?
2. Use a snake hook, and not stick. Your not Steve Irwin, so don't act like it.
3. The have to "touch" the snake. Perhaps some nice close up still shots, or macro video would be better than seeing a kid tool around with it.
