Rob Carmichael

Rob Carmichael is the Curator/Founder of the Wildlife Discovery Center in Lake Forest, IL; a city government managed reptile facility. This facility has one of the world's largest public exhibits of venomous reptiles featuring over 30 species/subspecies of rattlesnakes and over 25 species of various vipers and elapids. Rob has a M.S. degree and is working on his PhD studying several native herps of Northeastern Illinois; focusing on conservation management. In addition to his curatorial duties, he serves as adjunct faculty at local colleges and teaches General Ecology, Wildlife Biology, in addition to speaking at national/international herp symposiums. He has successfully bred over 30 species of reptiles including several critically endangered venomous species.
