I was bitten by a Florida cottonmouth while herping the Apalachiola. I was lucky because it only got one fang in and not too much venom. I uploaded a photo to my profile of what not to do. Yes, it involves freehandling but also shows the consequences. By the way the picture is not of me! I don't know who it is. Maybe some of the young dumb guys from previous posts can learn from it.
