Hi guys. I bought a new Adult pair of king snakes about a month ago. I house them sepperately, but to my surprize my female laid 13 eggs under the astro turf yesterday. They must have been clutched just before i bought them. My only fear is that i think i was too late on finding them. They where laid quite close to the heating pad, and they were a light brownish color. Do you think they might be damaged? I put them into a humid Moss container, into my home-made incubator. I was not expecting any eggs, so i was very unprepaired. What do you guys think, will i become a daddy or not.
Regards

You might have found the eggs in time.
The brownish discoloration just means that they dried out some, but might not mean that they are dead.
Go ahead and assume that they are alive, and will hatch, and give them a couple of months in the incubator.
Good Luck JohnZ

13 Eggs is unusually high for Kingsnakes! Keep them moist and the temp stable around 88 or 89.If you have a misting system it works best. Their eggs are easy to hatch. Good luck
