Paula: I do not know of any pet stores in your area, but perhaps others here can help on that.
Have you tried things like warming the thawed pink for about 2 seconds in the microwave ( more than that will explode it ) or putting it in a plastic bag and then into warm water? Have you tried crushing the pinks nose to release more scent? Have you tried rubbing the pink with a frozen snake or lizard to give it a different flavour? How have you presented the pink to the king snake? Are you offering it from forceps or leaving it in the cage overnight? All of these things can be a factor in how well the snake eats. Let us know a little more info if you get a chance. Good Luck JohnZ

This may be wrong, but I have heard somewhere that feeding a snake fish can give your snake internal parasites. I'm not positive but it seems like I have heard that somewhere.

Jeremy is right, you might give parasites to your kingsnake by feeding it fish, or frogs, or lizards, or other snakes. Only do that as a last resort.
Sometimes snakes that have just shead their skins are reluctant to eat, so you might just want to wait a few days. Warming the pink is good, and you should also crush its nose with your fingers or some pliars, which will release some scent that can help. A pink mouse has very little mouse scent without doing this.
We also have to consider that this is the winter season, and nature is telling that kingsnake that it should be hibernating and not eating. How warm are you keeping the cage? Does the snake have a good hiding box? I would keep trying to feed the snake, and chances are, it will eat after a few trys. Just make sure it is warm, and has a good hiding place. And keep looking for live pinks and hoppers ( more scent on hoppers ), as these would be more attractive food items. JohnZ

If it eats live ok, get a cage and a few adult mice.
I am breeding about 300 rodents a month in half an un-used closet.

Paula, I re-emailed you. I live close to Thomaston and buy from a breeder who sells live and frozen mice. Give me a call and I can probably help you out. My phone number is (404)557-2470. Both Griffin Pet Shops are out of business.

Jason,
Is the pet store you mentioned Spiders Shop? I haven't heard about him for about two years now so I didn't know for sure.
