Not a lot of people adding their favorite venomous herpers to the rotation. And a few of those who have complained about certain people in the rotation haven't made an effort to add anyone themselves. I wonder why that is? Can't think of anyone to add? Here are a few that I'd like to see added:
Elda Sanchez, Ph.D.
John Perez, Ph.D.
Dan Keyler, PharmD
Steven Seifert, MD
Jude McNally, MD
Leslie Boyer, MD
Ed Hall, MD
Findlay Russell, MD.Ph.D.
Sherman Minton, MD
Anyone willing to do the research and round up photos?

Dr. Findlay Russell is already up (by you).
I am working on Sherman A. and Madge Rutherford Minton but it won't be ready for a while yet.
The others that you have listed are completely unfamiliar to me.
Point me in the right direction and I will see what I can find on some of them.
For instance, if you google "Sherman A. Minton", you get over 244,000 returns. I have some of his books and will be relying on those to get my information.
I do know that he was a Doctor in the USN stationed at San Diego during WWII and his bride, an amateur herpetologist in her own right, flew planes from the factories that built them to the bases that needed them for the war.
Anyway, I am on the Mintons.

I can think of quite a few, but, since I have to run off at the moment, I'll throw two more out there:
Dr. James Gillingham of Central Michigan University; a herpetologits who has contributed much to our body of knowledge (particularly his work with Tuatara)
Dr. Charles Carpenter of U of Oklahoma; he has volume after volume of field data that is just waiting to be crunched. Another amazing herpetologist.

Karl,
I have some personal photos of Sherman Minton in the field. Dr. Minton was a dear friend and a great man both in and out of the herpetological arena.

I've been meaning to ask if Grace Olive Wiley has made the list. If she has then I keep missing her. Her bio was in HR 36(4) pp 365-367, 2005. Cro has a picture posted somewhere on this page already, and I could find another if necessary.Yeah, I know that she was crazy as a loon (I don't think anybody here really supports her techniques), but she's a bit of a hero of mine. Plus there aren't many ladies on the list (we don't want to be accused of being chauvinistic) and I can't think of anyone better to embody the love and concern that we have for these animals

Joshua: Grace Olive Wiley is in the rotation. Karl added information about her to the photo I posted from the old Life Magazine with her and the king cobra. I have to agree, she was quite a character, and a hero of mine also.

I tend to think in terms of the leading snakebite and venom researchers and clinicians.
Yeah, I did add F.Russell didn't I.
