To make it clear to the both of you. I have been working with venomous reptiles for 25 years and would never think to remove any part of one for pleasure or profit. This forest cobra was given to me a year ago, and I have no need for it. Rather than kill the damn thing, I posted it, so it could go to someone who might actually need it, and possibly get a few animals we need here at the zoo by trading him. So do not go starting anything until you have your facts people.
Damn, No wonder people don't like having intelligent conversations on here any more.

Please keep in mind the ethos and passion with which some members of this site treat the mere mention of venomoids. This is only one of several venues in which the classified could have been run. Perhaps the others would have been more appropriate. In all fairness neither the history of the snake, nor the seller’s personal views on venomoids were included in the ad. You can’t expect to light a fire and then curse the flames. Perhaps we would all be well served if we took a minute to think about the consequences of our actions and the environment in which we act. This is particularly necessary on the internet, an impersonal medium, where intent and emotions are particularly difficult to convey.

Like most of the Members here, I am against the Mutilation of any Venomous Snake. Now, I see no problem with what Irishviper is doing, to me it is commendable that he would try and find a Home for the Snake. On the other hand, I do not condone anyone trying to Sale these Animals for Money, whether it’s to find them a Good Home or not. By putting the Snake up for Sale, you are also encouraging more People to want to use the Venomoids as a way to make Money. So you see, if you make Money off something, it does not help the Cause Any.
Irishviper: I am by no means trying to start anything with you, but if you think about it, trading the Animal would be better than making the Money, would it not?

this guy cobrajason did the same thing but for two of them. i dont know much about venomous snakes but i dont agree with someone who alters a snake for their safety i believe they should have proper training or not keep them at all. i dont know the reason why he done it but i hope know buys such an animal. i would not give any amount of money for it nor would i take it for free sorry if i offended any one but its just my opinion take it or leave it

Cletus, in addition to propensities, would you honor us with some real information in your profile?
Thanks,

for starters, Snake18 owes Irishviper an apology for JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS instead of just seeing what was up BEHIND THE SCENES. he doesn't owe anyone an explanation and if people don't like it they don't have to buy it. instead of wasting time bashing people who are simply trying to modify their collection, they could be spending time doing research that proves venomoids are at a disadvantage even when the procedure is done the proper way.
most who are on this "anti-void bandwagon" really don't know all the details anyway and simply pile on, as in most cases. this is why so many people disapprove but no real data exists supporting either side.
there are a lot of healthy venomoids. there are also a lot of botched surgeries that lead to a horrible death. selling one acquired in another deal is simply not the greater evil.
