I don't know if this is a goog question, but I am curious about it and want to know if anyone can give a stab at answering it. What are the chemical component similarities or differences between venom of reptiles and insects or arthropods?

Just to whet you appetite, I will tell you that if snake venom were as strong as bee venom, there would never be a need for snakebite first-aid.

Many venoms contain PLA2s, if I remember correctly it is nearly ubiquitous. Hyaluronidase is also present in many venoms.

Google venom composition for ants, spiders, caterpillars, etc. and it will reference a number of sites which you may find useful.
As suggested before, you may visit Bryan Fry's for snake venom composition.
