Del.icio.us | Digg | Print Story | E-Mail Story | Font Size A customer at Lowe's got a scare this morning.
While unloading in the St. Lucie West parking lot, she saw a snake slithering towards her and called 911.
Initial reports to animal control called this guy a python--but that was fear talking, not herpatology.
Turns out it is a rat snake. It is a very common snake found in Florida. Rat snakes are not poisonous, but look suspiciously like a small python, and certainly enough to scare any customer.
Animal control trapped the 4-foot snake in the parking lot and released it in nearby woods.
