this happens with all hobbies, if it kills the hobby it's because it was dying anyway.
people modify cars improperly but that's not a dying hobby, people aren't as careful with their guns as they should be, their dogs, chasing storms, etc.
the world is against this hobby. there really is no reason to speak out against this stuff on a forum with like minded individuals. you can only educate the ones who want to be educated.
my situation earlier this year proved to me that this hobby is a lot of individuals doing what they want. eric marquette just assumed i was lying, as did most others, yet the courts did not. i ended up wasting money on lawyers due to fish and game trying to make an example out of me.
it's just like if someone is accused of child molestation, the facts will not matter from that point on, an accusation is enough to condemn someone. if the government wants to keep condemning the hobby, it's as good as done. i've been out of it all year and just keep to myself now because i simply don't trust anyone on earth but myself, but i have seen it get worse and more strict.
just pointless to fight these little battles, argue about venomoids, etc. most of that is simply biased opinion that doesn't affect anything. if people came to this site to learn how to freehandle, then they'd realize from past posts that it isn't safe or recommended.
this place is established and could do a lot more.
