I wanna thank everyone for there input and respect all opinions on the cottonmouth or WDB topic I posted. I just wanna be clear that I would NEVER use a snake as a learner and get rid of it. I cherish my snakes and what ever snake comes my way will live a long and pampered life. I currently have 2 snakes that I rescued. one from being frozen and another from my friends wife who hates snakes and wanted to kill it. So I totaly understand your point Karl and dont worry that is never my intention. Thanks agian.

No problem at all, Cody.
I did not mean it as a personal thing between you and me.
It is just a point of view that I hold very strongly.
Every time I get a snake, I think to myself about what the responsibility for this particular snake could entail.
I would love to keep Eastern Diamondbacks (which would be legal for me) but I just can't dedicate the space to them that they deserve when they are adults. Lots of friends have told me "Get a neonate or juvie and then you will have time to set-up for when it is adult..."
Well, I just don't see my house growing any larger - especially in this economy with my current occupation.
So, I get to enjoy the ones at work and the ones that my friends keep. I still love finding them in the wild and taking their pictures.
Oh well, guess I kind of rambled there.
But my point is that each and every snake that someone brings home - they should be prepared to take care of it from start to finish. I still have a snake that I bought as a neonate 28 and 1/2 years ago. Gotta plan to go the distance (as long as the law allows).
R/
Karl
