What is the current status of this study; and is there any pain medication currently on the market using venom as an ingredient?

A few days ago, I received a business card from a lady who asked if I would help to edit her new book on the paranormal. I obliged, and emailed her to tell her that I would love to. I mentioned the fact that I just finished helping my boss proof-read his book on bushmaster snakes. In return, she sent me this link, and said that she had just finished her own study on Lachesis venom as a homeopathic remedy. I don't know the validity of this site, or of the practice. I can't imagine venom would be easily attainable, either (especially the rare and secretive Lachesis). At any rate, I thought it was interesting what some people claim to use bushmaster venom for.

In addition, Cobra venom is being studied for a potential pain medication, and scorpion venom is being studied as a tumor reducing medication.

Many many applications. Unfortunately, and Jim Harrison will agree, not a lot can be divulged about pending studies. Just hold on to your hat...there are a number of them out there.
