Anyone know of any recent research done as to the 4 (I think) species and numerous subspecies of Agkistrodons in genetic relation to one another-A. contortrix, A. piscivorous, A. bilineatus, and A. taylori-in the past 3-4 years or so?

I'm aware of several projects underway that are investigating the phylogenetic relationships of the North American Agkistrodon.
What scope are you looking for with regard to a project? I.e. undergrad research, thesis, etc.

It is not recent..about fourteen years old, but the Monographic Review "Snakes of the Agkistrodon Complex" by Howard K. Gloyd and Roger Conant is certainly worth a look. It was published before taylori was changed to specific status, & there may be a few other things that are not current, but it is still a good beginning point.
