Well, if there wasn't much interest, it might have something to do with the 4,962 other times it's come up on every reptile board in the world in the YEARS this story has been floating around the internet. Debunking a really obvious hoax, over and over again gets a bit tiresome after a while...
Note: Not bashing you, you didn't know, but try a search on something like "man eating snake" and see how many pages there are dedicated just to debunking this one story so people won't have to keep asking...

Chris, I actually liked seeing the link you posted about the debunking of the man eating snake photos.
I have never seen them before, but I guess they have been around for a while, as others seem to have seen them.
Even though it is obvious that we are seeing two different snakes, and that the one with the human is staged, it is still sort of interesting to see.
Sort of reminds me of some of the photos in the book ``Eyelids of Morning,``that were staged with someone climbing into the mouth of a large dead nile crocodile.
Good book to read if you are in sort of a strange mood, as it is a very strange book.
Best Regards JohnZ

Chris, there is a book seller I told folks here about in the past. They sell a lot of close out books, including some great herp books at good prices. You can order online, but you should also go to this address and sign up for their free book news letter:
http://www.edwardrhamilton.com/index.html
I have listed below some of the current Reptile books they have for sale. Be sure to also check under Science, and Biology, and Closeouts. They only have a few copies of each book, so they sell out fast. If they are sold out on a title you order, they will promptly send you a refund check. Also, the shipping is only like $4.00 no matter if you order one book or 100 books, so the more you order, the cheaper the shipping will be.
Best Regards JohnZ
