How heavy is a 16 foot saltwater crocodile? Because Rob Bredl and Steve Irwin say it weighs more than 750-900 kilograms if heathly? They disagree was others who say that a crocodile is 23 feet and 2200 pounds. What do yu THINK?

Beatice, they could all be right. Here is why. If you have a healthy 6 foot tall man, he could be skinny, and weigh 150 pounds, or average, and weigh 200 pounds, or plump and weigh 250 pounds, or even fat, and weigh 300 pounds. All could be healthy.
If you have a healthy Crocodile, it could vary a great deal in weight also. It depends on how much food it is getting, and how much exercize it is getting. You will see a lot of Crocodiles in captivity that are fat and really heavy, as they do not have to work too hard to get a meal. You will see Crocodiles in the wild that are lighter, because they have to exercize more to get their food. When you deal with animals, there are many variables, and each animal is an individual.
Another problem is that is hard to weigh a Crocodile, so folks often estimate the weight.
We had a big Salt Water Crocodile at the Atlanta Zoo that was 14 feet long. We guessed his weight at about 1400 pounds, but we did not have any way to weigh him for sure. If we had fed him till he was fat, he could have weighed 4 or 5 hundred pounds more, and if we had fed him less untill he was skinny, he might have only weighed 900 pounds.
Remember when dealing with animals, that every animal is an individual, and every one of them is different. Each will weigh a different ammount, and each will get to a different length. Do not try to hard to pin things down to absolutes when dealing with animals. Do not try to say that a 15 foot Crocodile weighs this much, or that much, as they are all different.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ
