15 Great white shark that is 2087 pounds vs. 16 foot saltwater crocodile 1956 pounds of croc.
Both heathly, but the croc is more agressive. WHO WILL WIN

Beatice, I would bet on the Salt Water Crocodile. Others here might not agree.
The reason I think the Crocodile would win, is that once it bites, it will hold on and do a ``death roll`` which will shake and spin the shark around and really tear it up.
When a shark bites, they tend to bite and tear out a chunk, but not hold on.
Also, the Crocodile has very thick boney plates under his scales that offers a lot of protection from bites to his body. The shark has very little protection from bites.
Please understand that in the wild, it is not very likely that these two animals would attack each other, even if they ran into each other. The Crocodile is way to big for the shark to eat, so it would leave it alone. And the Shark is way too big for the Crocodile to eat, so it also would leave the shark alone.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ

Animal Planet already did this one.
The shark won because it didn't need to breath.
It's kind of hard to take ther scenario seriously because it is so far fetched.

My money would be on "whoever got in the first bite", but then the whole gill thing could make a serious difference if the croc didn't grab a vital area.
And yeah, Animal Planet does some VERY unscientific stuff sometimes, and the predator matchup shows are some of the worst.

this might be a fair battle IF it was in the water. But, i have to go with whoever takes the first bite. If the shark took the first bite the shark would win because the shark tends to attack its prey by swimming towards it at a great speed and attacks it. It would make a huge wound in the croc. But if the croc had the first bite, like john said, it would do that belly roll and probably tear out some vital organs. but i was basing this on if they were smart enough to bite in a vital spot.
just because im young doesnt mean i dont know anything
