Al, Spikey had his profile all filled in. When Rob started harrassing him, he got upset and said he was leaving the forum, and pulled his profile information.

If "Spikey" is still reading this thread, please drop me an email. I would like to talk to you and clear a few things up; no need to go away running just because someone (me) doesn't see quite eye to eye on a certain issue. I came on a bit hard on you as I initially thought you were a college student but now realize you are a young high school student and while my stance doesn't change, I would like the chance to talk. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a novice in the world of keeping reptiles. I have only started this sumer with keeping but have been handling and keeping for short periods since I was 12. I am comfortable with handling and feel a real attachment to the one southern copper I have started with. I would like to expand to a rattler and have begun my research in care and handling. I feel ashamed to say but I am not experianced in tailing. I had a large wild rat snake with a violant temper that I used to work on this. I still think that I need more experiance and have begun to make preps for next spring to get my first rattler. The reason I say this is that despite my life long entusiasm for snakes and esp hots only now at the age of 27 have I decided to take a responsible approch to keeping in the interest of not looking macho but to learn more and teach others by spending time with these animals. there is no docile venomous snake. non should be trusted any time. they use there venom to aquire food and protect themselves and will not hesitate to use it. My copper on some days seems docile enough to reach in and grab. other days he seems so cranky that he strikes at anything that moves. They are not novelty items and should be treated resposibly with respect. I hope I am not out of line by saying something.
