Hi guys,
Can anyone give me some personal tips on keeping this beautiful snake ? I bought one a couple days ago, mostly because I`ve always wanted a big constrictor but also because it was very cheap: only 100$ fot a 2-2.5 ft long specimen :)
Anticipated thanks,
Best regards,
Alex S.

these guys are easy to keep. just make sure that you handle it often. In my experience they have been more aggressive than the green anacondas. but they tame down easily with patience. they readily take frozen thawed rodents, but you can dip it in chicken broth if they are picky. and Rodent Pro has chicks rather cheap. they are not as slow growing as the greens, but no where near as fast as a burm or retic. I kept mine just like my boas. 88-90 degree hot spot, 78-80 degree cool end, water bowl with fresh water, a few hides. as babies they will climb branches you put in the enclosure but I take those out after they get around 4 foot. any other questions just let me know.

Alex, here is a care sheet I wrote I put in there pretty much everything I could think of. Maybe it will help.

It really was cheap.
Did you get a male or a female?
Hope you will enjoy your new snake ;)
