I just saw an add on another website for a melanistic Garter snake. For $1000. Crazy Eddie must be back. Only in the snake business. And his Prices are insane!!!!!! ( I guess only people over the age of 40 will probably get my sarcastic humor). To the rest I'm sorry. I'm curious to know what other peoples opinions on the snake market are these days. And how people determine these prices. Imagine what I can charge for an albino Bimini blind snake

Interesting question. I may be relatively new to venomous, but I have been keeping non-venomous for a long time. I think the majority of people put a little too much emphasis on the novelty factor such as "albino, leucy, pastel, etc, etc". Of course, since there's a demand for it, there's a market for it.

I personally don't have any morphs and would rather not get any lolipop snakes that in my opinion are a little bit ridiculous.

It's so true. I see people trying to sell off or trade off ball pythons. I think they hit their saturation point. Now it seems the new thing is blood pythons. I always wonder what will happen to all theses lollipop snakes in the future? Will animal rescues be filled with all these designer snakes, or will they eventually outlaw ball pythons because people don't want them and just let them go????? Is it fair to the animals???? Or the serious hobbyist. It's a sad day when you see some of these designer snakes costing more than rare snakes. For example this crazy $1000 Garter. The same price as a pair of Bizmark pythons. Or a pair of Diamond pythons or pair of Samar cobras. It's a no brainier. I am just shocked. But I guess the $15,000 dollar kaiouthia I saw at Hamburg takes the winning prize. Let me think New Harley or Kaiouthia??? Can you help me decide? Sorry but I'm just venting and wondering if anyone else feels the same?
