I recently caught an adult cottonmouth and I can't seem to find any information on care and maintanance for them. Could anyone relate to me the basic husbandry for this snake? Thanks.

Hi Blood,
It ain't no big deal, although a WC adult might take a short time to acclimate. There really is no easier snake to keep.
Simply give it a hide and a fairly large water bowl. Room temps and humidity are fine. I use cypress mulch for substrate. Feeding, they'll eat almost anything. I feed mine a fair amount of fish, cut and whole. I freeze everything first for parasites. Also the usual rats. He'll like a little roadkill snake (frozen / thawed), in season, as well. Thawed crayfish are a treat, but bust up the shells, first.
I have never had a Cotton go off feed and I've never bothered to brumate them.
A word of caution: They develop a feeding response and can get very aggressive. My current Cotton will cheerfully strike anything if I'm around, thinking that a meal is coming. I've never seen it, but I believe that he'll do it with a rat's tail hanging out of his mouth.
My all-time, favorite snake.

Thank you very much for the info, it is definetely appreciated. She's already eaten a thawed fuzzy, without teasing(!), so I don't think I'll have a problem with her.
Thank Again
