Sorry Aaron, I did not mean to assume you were going to pick up a gaboon with a gloved arm.. No harm intened.. cant go wrong with extra protection. Hope you find a good snake....Bryan

Arron:
Did not think you were going to "toy" with it. Just a figure of speech meaning this is a serious snake and serious care must be taken while working with it. I would think that a standard Midwest Tong is long enough to keep you out of range. The glove may afford you a bit extra protection but may made the operation more "clumsy" and increase the chance of entering the strike zone.
