Do Venomous Laws Apply???

Not that I condone or support these actions in any way, shape, or form. But do venomous laws also apply to venomoids??? Becaus I met an individual at a reptile show in april that was bragging about a venomoid he had purchase a month prior. I live in the suburbs of chicago where venomous are prohibited and was wondering if these laws apply.

venomous laws apply to venomoids mainly because even though they can't seriously harm/kill you, they can still give birth to lethal offspring.

I figured, however, I was unshure. Thanks for clarifying. The individual at the reptile show should have been arrested by now then if he kapt talking and bragging about it the way he was. LOL

The laws are the same. A law enforcement official won't be able to distinguish whether or not it's venomous or venomoid, and even if they could, I don't think they would be sure it is actually a venomoid.
I know I wouldn't trust that it is or was done properly. And even venomoids can inflict a serious injury, just have a look at a puff or gaboon's fangs.

Thats true they do have ginormous fangs. And i wouldnt believe anyone who claimed to have a venomoid either if i was a p.o. But im not shure what the new shows are however i would like to go and check it out to see what its all about.

the new shows take place at the dupage county fairgrounds. they call the show "chicagoland animal enthusiast fair"
