Just playing devil's advocate here...
(I've never dealt with either of these folks, and have only met Justyn once in Austin when the Texas herp community was fighting some reptile legislation)
If he owed 13, and now owes 6 or 7, he's making progress and getting folks their money.
If you help prevent him from selling animals, and this is his only income, are you not HELPING to screw them by preventing Justyn from making money to pay them with?
Granted, he shouldn't have gotten into this spot in the first place but, if he's making it right with the folks whom he slighted and digging his way out, why keep throwing dirt in on him? Doesn't undermining him just mean it will take that much longer for the rest of them to get their money?
Just my $.02...and something to think about...

I have dealt with Justyn & it is by far the worst experience I have had with buying reptiles. I paid for my order in full on April 20 2007. I got many excuses on why he could never photograph or ship the animals. On May 8 2007, Justyn said he would be refunding my money. That has never happened. I think the only person who has lied on the BOI is Justyn. I have questioned Justyn on everybody who says they have been ripped off. Justyn will only say he will correct there situation. There is even a guy on the BOI who says Justyn ripped him off on building a pond. I have accepted the fact that I will not get my refund.

I agree with LordViperTx and will play devil's advocate from the other side. I've never dealth with Justyn, but have heard the stories of people getting ripped off by him. None the less, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's trying to rectify those dealings.
I do know Al and have dealt with him in the past, not buying snakes, but know him to be honest and have integrity.
Given Justyn's explanation, I think his past should have no bearing on the current situation. IF in fact, he sent the animals on good faith, and Al paid him as intended, there seems to be no issues with their transaction. IF the situation is as Justyn stated, and Al was scammed by some exporter, then that is a whole separate issue and Justyn has a legitimate gripe if Al is slandering him. It seems to me, knowning Al, very strange that he would do such a thing or make such a personal attack.
I think what we need is to hear Al's explanation of what transpired, and then determine who is right or wrong, and if apologies are in order.
That's about as unbiased an approach as I think we can take.

Here is all of the e-mails between me and Al regarding this issue and any since then.
http://www.intenseherp.com/AlCortiz/
As for Craigs post on me scamming him. Yes, you paid for animals you ahve not received and yes, I have not been able to pay you back. It has been a very trying time for me. I kept you informed throughout the entire time and you called me a liar. Then I started to forward you e-mails and documents regardings shipments that were in progress with info from the airlines, my supplier, etc to show you I was not lying. I did this with the understanding you would not pass those documents onto anyone, and I don't believe you have (thank you). When I can, I will repay you. Incoming shipments used to generate incoming have not been fruitful due to the delays and thus animals dying in my exporters hands before he can get them to me. I have been very upfront with Craig about this.
As for the pond job, that is another story. I've built MANY pond jobs and very rarely do I have issues. I did have issues with this pond. I went out after that post was sent to me via e-mail. The owner was unable to get a hold of me as I was outof town, he searched my anme on the net, somehow thought I ran away to Bolivia to live, and freaked out. Never in my life have I had so much drama then this year, and it my fault.
On another note (unrelated), I did have someone from Craigs zip code steal my idenity and they signed me up for about 70 magazine subscriptions and who knows how any catalogs that were billed to me. Just about $3500.00 worth that I am now trying to convince I don't owe. Any need any magzines? I've been using them for packing animals.

Also I would like to say that for many years I have done hundreds of deals. Not ONCE has any of them gone wrong.
This year I made some good mistakes, they turned into a huge hole that I'm still in. I never have tried to use a different name, not say I do not owe people snakes/refunds, etc. Does that really sound like a scammer? I still have the same website, e-mail, contact info, etc (except I no longer have my cell phone on as it saves me $150.00 a month).
My mistakes have cost me friends, business, pride, and almost my family. I am still hurting from this, and even after I even up with everyone I'll continue to feel the pain from this episode. For those who don't think this has not affected me, your wrong. I will not never anything like this happen again. I simply can not afford it, my family won't put up with it, and I would like to make some sort of peace with my friends in the future.

Who have you paid back besides Eric?
I don't know of anybody else that you have paid back.
I am still in contact with people you ripped off & no one else has said anything about you repaying your debts.

I've got to play devils advocate, too. If someone is already a known scammer, then why do business with them? It's like getting bit by a hot and then expecting that same hot wouldn't bite you again.
Bottom line, if I've heard someone has scammed in the past, I'd NEVER give that person my business. Not worth the chance. Especially with the way the market is being flooded with the same animals from the same breeders and exporters. At some point, they'll end up in the hands of a reputable dealer that will sell for a reasonable price. It all depends on how bad you want the animal and how much you trust the person selling it......especially when dealing over the phone.
I'm picky and tire kick like crazy when it comes to buying reptiles. Probably one of the reasons I've never had a large collection.....but I've never been scammed, ripped off, or overcharged.
