My friend and I are going to Southern California for a few weeks and I was hoping to take some pictures of rattlesnakes while I was there. Any suggestions on good places to look for them? I know how fast they strike and to stay at least 2/3 of their body length away. I'm familiar with handling constrictors and nonvenomous types only and plan to space myself with the rattlers. Plus my camera has a pretty good zoom feature.

Hi:
It's really sort of the "off-season" For finding Rattlesnakes. Where about will you be in So-cal? I can make some suggestions but it's really a long shot, may have a chance if it's really warm.
