The name of this website is VenomousReptiles.org; it is a great forum for those of us whose primary interest is VENOMOUS reptiles. Why is it that the classifieds are 50% filled with ads for non-venomous ?? To me, it sounds like a contradiction of terms. Just my humble opinion.

Marty, the classifieds are free to use as long as the subject is herpetology. Adds for real estate, cars, furnature, etc are deleted.
Many of the people who have venomous snakes to sell also sell or trade non-venomous snakes.
Are you really wanting someone to sit around and edit out all of the non-venomous adds? It is difficult enough to keep out the non-herp adds.
Do you want the experts to stop answering questions about non-venomous reptiles?
Gosh, sounds like you want us to become like the KS website. You could allways start your own website and allow what ever adds you wanted.
The people on the web team are all voulenteers, and are not being paid to edit what is placed there.
Sounds to me like you are being a bit nit-picky, LOL !
It`s the weekend. Buy a pint and chill !

Lots of people have BOTH venomous and nonvenomous. Not every site allows free classifieds. You have to love that, no matter the site. At least they are labeled nonvenomous, so you will know not to waste time looking at that ad, if you are not interested in them.

Dear John,
If you scan my original post, you will see that I conclude with saying that it was my "humble opinion"; I was not suggesting any major reform of the website; I was not suggesting any morphing of this website into a KS look-a-like; and I was certainly not suggesting that I start my own website...after all, I love this website for the applicable content and the manner in which it is responsibly and professionally presented and moderated.
In my humble opinion, you may have somewhat over-reacted to my query...just my very humblest of opinions.

alright, i dont drink, actualy i cant drink. But, if im not mistaken, marty was complaning about people with non venomous threads, this starts to become a margarita and beer topic. So, "help me understand" why we are talking about alchohol...
