Regretfully I have never seen any of his shows although I would surely enjoy them. Having heard comments of how he and other showmen have handled animals I was not shure I would approve some say he was to rough with them. Some day a DVD will be produced compiling his shows. I have read that he and his parents before him rescued numerous injured and otherwise endangered animals from harm. For that Steve and his family have earned an A+. Be strong Teri and children.

Most words sound somewhat wooden and paltry when trying to describe the depth of loss to the animal community. Steve's charisma and way with animals was fantastic, and was always the consummate conservationist.
There is no question that the name Steve Irwin will be iconized along with the other great wildlife media personalities like Perkins and Cousteau.
Our deepest sympathies got to Terri and the kids. He will be missed, and never forgotten.
I raise a glass of Foster's to you, Mate!

In my opinion he will always be my favorite wildlife conservationist and his passion for saving Endangered Herps and other animals world wide and not just in Australia. I hope that Bindin and Terri carry on his legacy with what groundwork Steve accomplished. There has been great ones gone like Diane Fossy, and Aldo Leopold, and now unfortunatley we have to add Steve Irwin to the list of powerful conservationists that will now be only in DVD or VHS documentaries. I am privalaged to have watched his show from just about day one back in early 1990's when Discovery Channel was in it's infant stages. God bless the Irwins and let herps live forever. Peace out

Steve I have to say its painfully obvious millions upon millioons will miss you. You have truly acheived what many before you and still hope for. You taught people to love and respect animals that people have and to some degree have always feared. You have Gods hand on your work. God will now place his hand in your family's life and bring peace and a much deserved rest to them. I hope to see Bendi and Bob involved in the family business one day. May we all honor your memory by seeing your work continue.
God bless you and thank you Steve!

I can't express the loss I feel. I've always had great admiration for Steve and his family but didn't realize how much he meant to me until I found out he was gone. My wife and I have truly mourned his death and encourage everyone to keep Terri, Bindi, Bob, Bob Sr. and the rest of his family and friends in your prayers. This is a time that they are really going to need strength and guidance from the Lord.
